New book on Charlotte

New book by Ron AndersonRon attended School 42 and graduated from Charlotte High in 1952. Ron’s daughter, Karen Cavacos, and her family are the 3rd and 4th generation to live in the same Kemphurst Road home that Ron grew up in. Ron spent his working career in the newspaper industry, 27 years working for Gannett, and the next 16 in business with his wife Kay.

Dad’s Store, Loblaws, and the Lake Theatre - strap on your roller skates and travel down Charlotte streets and experience life as it “used to be” growing up in Charlotte.

The book sells for $20.00 and will be available at CCA meetings and at the Oct. 10th History Fair at the terminal during River Romance. In keeping with its mission to record and preserve Charlotte history, the Charlotte Village & Transportation Museum is happy to have contributed to the printing of this book with funding from the Rochester Area Community Foundation.
