Important Road Closure Announcement- Lake Avenue
A professional bicycle race called the Rochester Omnium Time Trial is scheduled for this Friday, August 8th. The course starts and ends at the Port of Rochester and travels north and south on Lake Avenue.
Beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday August 8th, Lake Avenue, between Corrigan Street and the Lake Ontario State Parkway will be fully closed by the Rochester Police Department to all vehicles. The roads will reopen at 3:30 p.m.
Police officers are at the traffic points to help protect your neighborhood and to ensure public safety. Arrangements have been made to position ambulances throughout the event so that in the event of an emergency in the area, a quick response may be made.
